A Life Coach is a wellness professional who helps people to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. Acting as your supportive ally and trusted adviser, a Life Coach will guide you through rediscovering your own strengths and abilities, enabling you to reach your full potential.
Life Coaching is a forward focused partnership, designed to help you identify your goals and desires, as well looking at the potential obstacles you may face on your journey to achieving them. It involves open, in-depth conversations, and self-reflection, holding you accountable when completing the goals we assign in our action planning. Coaching can be uncomfortable at times when certain realisations are made, but moving through the (sometimes) challenging inner-work, is where the significant breakthroughs are made.
Sadly, one of the most common misconceptions about coaching is that it’s just watered down therapy from an unqualified practitioner. In reality, Life Coaching is its own unique service designed to help people find success and fulfilment in all areas of life. Counselling or psychotherapy is a process in which a patient works with a healthcare professional to analyse underlying traumas and issues, and work through painful feelings. In this sense, counselling focuses on the past, with the hope of resolving emotional suffering and creating a happier and more stable future. Life Coaching is a process in which a client works with a coach (who is not a healthcare professional) to clarify goals and identify obstacles and problematic behaviours, in order to achieve desired results. A coach takes the client’s current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground, and is more action-based from that point onward. Therapy will focus on how your thoughts and feelings are informed by your past. Life coaching may touch on these concepts as you break down your limiting beliefs and examine your blueprint, but the ultimate focus of coaching is always on the present and the future. There are some similarities between therapy and coaching. Both work to enable clients tomake positive change in their lives and become more productive. Life coaches do not diagnose the people they work with, while psychotherapists determine illnesses so their patients can be clinically treated. While counsellors treat from a healthcare perspective, not all therapy patients are ill. Many healthy people seek the services of both therapists and life coaches.
You don’t need to be unhappy or facing major problems to benefit from having a Life Coach. Life coaching is right for you if you have the desire to build a happier, more meaningful life. If you are unsure, you can try out a couple of sessions with no obligation to continue if you feel it’s not for you.

Aside from the ‘on paper’ qualifications, my biggest asset, and what I feel makes me most qualified to help you, is my personal life experience. I’ve been through the ringer! I’ve risen from the ashes, and I can teach you how to do the same.
I’ve been qualified and coaching full-time since 2020. During that time I have worked with countless clients, and conducted hundreds of hours of one-to-one coaching. I am obsessed with learning, and consume research and coaching related content on a daily basis. I am a natural born listener, carer and achiever. My life’s s purpose is to help people.

There is a misconception that only a certain type of individual is suited to therapy or coaching, when the reality is absolutely everyone could benefit from having a Life Coach. If you want to play life at the highest levels, or if you intend to cut through some of the noise and distractions by having someone skilled enough to help move you closer to your goals, then you are going to benefit from guidance, just like an athlete benefits from a sports coach!
Because it works! More and more people are seeing and gaining the benefits of working with Life Coaches for their personal growth and development. Life coaching has been the second fastest growing industry in the world for over ten consecutive years.
The essence of a coaching session, is predominately an in-depth, open and meaningful conversation. On my part, it mainly involves active listening, and asking the right explorative questions to lead us to setting the goals/intentions that are going to be most beneficial to you. On your part, you just need to answer and engage as honestly as you can!
You will require weekly coaching sessions for a minimum of 4 weeks to see significant results. At that point we would usually assess whether you continue with weekly or bi-weekly coaching going forward. Our aim long term is to eventually drop down to once monthly sessions until your coaching is complete. Each client is different, and life and circumstances may mean we change course as we go. I have worked with clients from anywhere between 3 months to 2+ years. There is no set length of time or amount coaching sessions you have to have overall, that being said, there is usually much more to be gained from a longer term coaching relationship than from a handful of conversations.
If is was just me and the work, I could guarantee results! The outcome of your coaching is heavily reliant on the your participation, openness, and accountability. Coaching is a team effort, and if you are willing to bring your best efforts, you can 100% be the next success story! While I can’t guarantee you will always do the work required to get you where you want to be, I can make you a strong promise that our working together will definitely help.
