For anxiety and panic relief – Barry McDonagh

DARE by Barry McDonagh is a book/Audio I must have recommended to every client I work with who has anxiety. The DARE technique is the most powerful natural solution to ending panic attacks and feelings of general anxiety I am yet to come across. There is also a free app you can download which is really helpful in times of emotional crisis (search Dare: Panic and anxiety relief).

For mindfulness and spirituality – Eckhart Tolle

Eckart is one of the greatest spiritual thinkers of our time. His wisdom will help you learn to quiet your mind, separate your ego from your true self, discover an enlightened state of consciousness, and live a fully present life. Eckhart’s teachings can be found as books, podcasts and videos. If you are seeking surrender, acceptance and higher purpose, I highly recommend his book/audio ’The Power of Now’.

For trauma and healing – Nicole LePera

Known as ‘The holistic psychologist’, Nicole offers true gems when it comes to self-development, especially if you have experienced trauma and/or have attachment issues. Her books ‘How to do the work’ and ‘How to meet your self’ are staples for self-discovery. I recommend following her on Instagram for regular insights and teachings when it comes to self-healing.

For business inspiration and entrepreneurship – Steven Bartlett

Steven Bartlett is a speaker, investor, author, content creator and the host of one of Europe’s biggest podcasts, ‘The Diary of a CEO’. In 2022 Steven joined Dragon’s Den as the youngest Dragon in the shows history. Listen to ‘The Diary of a CEO’ for conversations and inspiration from some of the world’s most influential people, experts and thinkers.

For inner peace and freedom – Michael Singer

‘The Untethered Soul’ is a powerful book/audio that explores what you can do to free yourself from the habitual thoughts, emotions, and energy patterns that limit your consciousness, transforming your relationship with yourself and the world around you. Michael teaches how the development of consciousness can enable us all to live in the present moment, and how to let go of painful thoughts and memories that keep us from achieving true happiness.

For contentment and happiness – Mo Gawdat

In his book/audio ‘Solve for Happy’, Mo questions some of the most fundamental aspects of our existence, shares the underlying reasons for suffering, and plots out a step-by-step process for achieving lifelong happiness. He shows us how to view life through a clear lens, teaching us how to dispel the illusions that cloud our thinking, and embrace five ultimate truths. Mo teaches that whatever burdens we bear, whatever trials we’ve experienced, we can all be content with our present situation and optimistic about the future.

For confidence and motivation – Mel Robbins

Mel is one of the most down to earth and relatable experts in her field. Her mission is to share proven tools that empower you to create a better life. You can experience her teachings on social media, in books/audios or via her podcasts. Check out her Ted Talk ‘How to stop screwing yourself over’.

For addiction and childhood development – Dr Gabor Maté

A renowned speaker, and bestselling author, Dr. Gabor Maté is highly sought after for his expertise on a range of topics including addiction, stress and childhood development. Rather than offering quick-fix solutions to these complex issues, Dr. Maté weaves together scientific research, case histories, and his own insights and experience. I recommend his book/audio ‘The Myth of Normal’.

For calm and purpose – Jay Shetty

Jay Shetty, social media superstar and host of the number one podcast ‘On Purpose’, distils the timeless wisdom he learned as a practicing monk into practical steps anyone can take every day to live a less anxious, more meaningful life. Follow him on Instagram, and train your mind for peace and purpose with his book/audio ‘Think Like a Monk’.
